Bi Gan (毕赣, 1989) is a Chinese film director, screenwriter, poet, and photographer. He was born in Kaili Ciyu (凯里), Guizhou province (贵州). His first feature film, Kaili Blues was released in 2015 and won Best New Film Director at the 52nd Golden Horse Reward..

During his college years, Bi watched Andrei Tarkovsky's Stalker, later stating in an interview, "Cinema can be different from mainstream films; you can make what you like. What I had seen up to that point were mainly Hollywood films. What I was taught was pretty boring."

Insertion, on the one hand, makes the film more personally think that poetry is full of artistic atmosphere but on the other hand, can use other ways to achieve this effect may be the icing on the cake, long a director's ambition, atmosphere, of course, the story and the connotation in place, what practices are acceptable, the criticism in addition to envy to rush out fault of long don't see the other.

The most mysterious and wonderful thing about this film is that it patiently constructs a magical and realistic world with all kinds of small plots, and its merciless backtracking and switching do not give any nanny-like explanation to the audiences who cannot understand it. So, just as there are a thousand hamlets for a thousand readers, there are a thousand picnics for a thousand spectators.

This film can kill all the films in the same period, let the audience, let the critics, let those ordinary directors, let everyone realize that the genius has gorgeous bright feathers, their talent and spirituality is beyond the reach of ordinary people.
