Huayi Brothers Media Corp. (华谊兄弟传媒股份有限公司) is a Chinese multinational entertainment company that is founded in Beijing by brothers Zhongjun Wang and Zhonglei Wang. The company was founded in 1994 as a film production company. It underwent a comprehensive expansion into the media industry through investing and now produces movies, TV shows, & music and operates a film studio, TV production company, a talent agency, a record label, and movie theaters.
Huayi Brothers Media Corporation operates as an integrated entertainment company in China. It is involved in film and television entertainment, Internet entertainment, brand licensing, real-estate entertainment, and industrial investment activities. Basically, it is the biggest influencing company in Chinese film and entertainment industry.
Although, it is one of the biggest film company in China, but Huayi Brothers' digital presence is surprisingly unsuccessful to me. It has a good official website for introducing itself, releasing news and connecting with investors(http://huayimedia.com/). However, as a such well-known company, its official website does not have English or mutilingual option. As its communication medium, it only opens an official social media account: Weibo(https://www.weibo.com/huayibrothers?is_hot=1). They use this social media as their platform to promote their new movies. There is a way for everyone to send a message to them, but it is usually not the best and fastest option. Their Facebook account is mainly created for the Chinese overseas followers(https://www.facebook.com/huayimedia/). But their Facebook has not updated over a year. Only 30,000 people who have liked their page. Beside the Weibo and Facebook account, there is no other website or trendy social media accounts such as Twitter or Instagram for people to follow.
